Ask & Receive

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled. Matthew 5:6 Hunger drives one in search of food and an unsatisfied thirst for life sustaining water can mean death. The Father has given His faithful word that all who earnestly hunger and thirst for righteousness (right standing/alignment with God) will receive the necessary Spiritual nourishment.

Fasting is a sacrifice. All sacrifices mandate that something is offered/given in exchange for something more beneficial. During the fast and prayer sacrifice, mankind (humans) humble themselves before God by surrendering their treasured foods and pleasures in exchange for deeper fellowship and intimacy with their Creator.

It’s common for manufacturers to have recalls, whereby their products are returned to the factory for a do-over – for the repairing of defects that can’t be remedied by none other but the maker. It’s the same with fasting and prayer. The man (human) takes time to return his entire body (flesh, spirit and soul) to his Creator (God) so that necessary repairs can be made.

The flesh is innately sinful. Every person is born into a sinful world and without God’s presence and regular maintenance, they will invariably become weak spirited. A weakened human spirit will be unable to curtail the frivolities of the flesh and mind.

During the fast and prayer sacrifice, individuals humble themselves before God by surrendering their treasured foods and pleasures in exchange for deeper fellowship and intimacy with their Creator. In times of fasting and prayer, the spirit-man (human spirit) is nurtured through extra portions of spiritual foods—prayer, worship, God’s Word—and nourishing times in the blessed presence of God. The Book, “Fasting Treasures & Prayer Freedom,” illuminates the necessary spiritual fare that satiates the hungry human spirit-body.

Therefore tell the people: This is what the Lord Almighty says: “Return to Me,” declares the LORD Almighty, “and I will return to you,” says the Lord Almighty. Zechariah 1:3

God is welcoming to all who return to Him. Fasting with prayer fortifies the human spirit (the life) and recalibrates the soul (mind and eternal man). The flesh is placed on a time out. When the spirit-man is revitalized and the soul/mind-body refreshed, the physical body goes into healing.

With fasting and prayer, humans return to their Creator, surrendering their flesh, spirit, and soul for urgent maintenance. Just as regular maintenance benefits a motor vehicle, so it is with the spiritual maintenance of the spirit and soul through fasting and prayer. Regularly fasting with prayer heals the flesh, fortifies the spirit, and safeguards the soul.

The book, “Fasting Treasures & Prayer Freedom,” offers many scenarios where it becomes mandatory to seek the Lord in fasting and prayer and patiently guides the reader into the Incredible power of this ancient and time-tested sacrificial practice. Spending time with the Lord is always valuable, and those who do so become living proof of God’s merciful grace and unconditional love.
