Important Communication

Prayer is essential, therapeutic, and the most simple, yet most powerful way that a human can use his words. When the man (mankind) prays, Heaven listens. With his words of prayer, the man can build up or break down and create change both in the natural and the supernatural.

The miracle of prayer is one often taken for granted by many. That a man (human) can open his mouth at any place on earth, at any time of the day or night, and be instantly heard by The Omniscient God of all the universe, is a truth, often sadly ignored by too many oblivious souls who are desperately seeking great supernatural miracles. The infinite wisdom of the Omnipotent God has made the greatest act on earth so easy that even infants can become partakers of it.

When You Pray: Speak Up

The command for prayer was given by our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ to His followers (Disciples/Kingdom Citizens/Christians/Children of God). Constant reminders of mankind’s need for prayer are recapitulated throughout God’s Word/Bible. “Pray continually.” says the law of 1 Thessalonians 5:17, and in Luke 18:1: “Men aught always to pray.” This in no way signifies that one must spend every waking hour in prayer. Rather, it points to the human’s role in staying consistently unified with Heaven through his praying words, offered in thankfulness and reverence to his Creator.

“Consistency forms habit and no great feat can be achieved sans consistent dedication.” – Bree Theodore

Prayer connects the humans on Earth with Heaven and is beneficial to physical, as well as spiritual health and vitality. Prayer allows the child of God to transcend his physical surroundings and enter the spiritual realm with ease.

“With their words of prayer, mankind can create change in the supernatural that trickles down gloriously into their physical situations.” – Bree Theodore

Prayer’s simplicity and ease by no means indicate that we should become irreverent of lackadaisical about our approach. When you pray, be forever mindful that prayer is a conversation with God The Sovereign King. Therefore, respect and good manners should not be discarded.

Jesus taught us how to pray and His teachings form the foundational rules that must be adhered to in our private petitions before the Throne of Grace. There’s a place for corporate (communal) prayers at church or other gatherings. The Father (God) seeks relationship with his human creation. Although congregational prayers are powerful; the personal secret place of prayer where the man engages in privacy with his God must never be cast aside.

When You Pray

“And when you pray,” said Jesus. “Do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full.

But when you pray, go into your room, close the door, and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.

And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.”

Prayer Protocols

  1. When you pray do so only in the name of Jesus Christ. Pray daily and often.
  2. Enter your innermost private space.
  3. Close the door to create even greater privacy. Turn off your television, mute your phone and temporarily cancel anything else that may interfere or interrupt your time of fellowship and intimacy with the Father. Do not be distracted.
  4. Pray to your Father/God/Almighty and never to foreign gods or idols. Idolatry is a detestable act of rebellion. When you pray, be unrushed as you delight in His presence.
  5. Your Father speaks in the stillness. As you pray, yield to the Holy Spirit, and spend some time listening. Speaking and listening are the established rules of effective communication.
  6. Your Father sees and hears you and will draw near to you. He listens when you speak and is attentive to your every word. Your prayer communication gladdens His heart.
  7. God rewards obedience and sacrifice. Your Father who dwells in the secret places shall reward you publicly.

Delight yourself in the LORD; and He shall give you the desires of your heart. Psalms Chapter 37
